Can you paint a golf cart using car paint? Yes, primers make it happen!

Golf carts are made of various materials including plastic, fiberglass, aluminum, and even wood. When painting over plastic parts, it is very important to use a good adhesion promoter like our Super Stick Adhesion Promoter available in both quarts and gallons. If the plastic pieces have been previously painted and are in perfect condition, you can go straight to paint after using the adhesion promoter. Otherwise, you will need to follow up with  auto paint primer  and/or a high build urethane primer.

What is the Difference Between 4:1 and 2:1 Clear Coats?

Image
Let’s start with the 4:1 Super Wet Show  Clear Coat . This is a traditional American clear coat that mixes 4:1, meaning it mixes 4 parts clear to 1 part activator. It is a more user friendly clear coat that lays down slicker when sprayed and requires less buffing when dry. Hardener speeds being equal, It also cures through faster than a 2:1 clear. We recommend applying 3 coats of this clear.
